Good Evening Residents,
Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez has released the following statement in commemoration of our Veterans and the resources available to them. The County has dropped off pamphlets of these resources at City Hall and is available for anyone that wishes to pick up a copy. In the event we run out, you can always visit www.hidalgocounty.us to download a copy. Please be sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines when coming to City Hall.
On October 21, 2020, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez signed Order 20-016 which effectively PROHIBITS any Door-to-Door Trick-or-Treating activities. While the order does give cities such as La Villa the ability to host alternatives such as Drive-by Trick-or-Treating or Trunk-or-Treat activities, the City of La Villa will not be initiating, endorsing, nor participating in these events given the recent rise in COVID-19 infections. We ask that our residents continue to practice social distancing measures, wear facial coverings when out in public, limit gatherings, and perform proper hand hygiene. This will allow us to contain our infection rate and protect the lives of those around us. The link to the order can be found below. Reach out to City Hall if you any questions (956) 262-2122.
